The scale of human suffering in Gaza right now is almost impossible to fathom.
More than 34,000 are dead, including at least 14,000 children. Over 80% of the population is homeless. Dozens of children have starved to death as a result of Israel "knowingly and intentionally imposing famine," according to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right to health.
It's hell on earth. Death is everywhere. And the United States is directly culpable as Israel's primary arms dealer.
And yet, instead of sounding the alarm, the corporate media are falling all over themselves praising Congress and President Biden for passing legislation to give Israel $17 billion more in bombs, guns, and planes. CNN even compared House Speaker Mike Johnson to Winston Churchill.
Common Dreams is covering the ongoing slaughter in Gaza with a commitment to the radical notion that Palestinians are human beings.
