An Earth Day Poem by William Blake: “The Clod and the Pebble” (1794)

[[link removed]]

In this little poem, Blake describes the Clod as yielding and loving — creating
heaven on earth. The Pebble is hard and selfish — building hell from the
beauty of the world. On Earth Day, we strive together to enable the first
and banish the second.

Happy Earth Day to all of our members and friends from the A2 staff: Adrien, Dany, Dorothy, Emily, Harriet, Jack, Jessenia, Jon, Karis, Michelle, Michele, Molly, Nathaniel, Stephen, Stewart, and Tani.
