We are officially less than 200 days away from Election Day.

Here’s an update from a week that included a fantastic event in Beloit, a key endorsement, and a new opponent.

Lincoln Day Dinner with Rock and Walworth County

After a busy week in Washington, I spent my Saturday evening with friends in Beloit. It was a great opportunity to talk about the global challenges facing our country.

Our volunteers in Walworth and Rock County are doing a fantastic job connecting with voters and spreading our message ahead of the November election. I’m enormously grateful for their hard work.

Kenosha Professional Police Association Endorsement

Last week, I was honored to receive the endorsement of the Kenosha Professional Police Association.

I will never waver in my support for the men and women of law enforcement. I believe that supporting law enforcement is critical to the safety of our communities.

I consider supporting policies that ensure the safety and security of our communities a key responsibility for any member of Congress.

My New Opponent

Peter Barca, who’s been a politician for 40 years, announced he’s running against me in the First Congressional District.

Peter Barca first ran for office in 1984. He was on the same ballot as Walter Mondale.

During his time in public office, he has has repeatedly supported policies that hurt families in Wisconsin.

He voted to raise the gas tax, and didn’t use the money to build roads and bridges.

He voted to protect sanctuary cities in Wisconsin, which allow municipalities to ignore federal immigration laws.

He’s wrong on the issues. And he’s wrong for Wisconsin.

But he’s going to have a ton of resources from National Democrats and dark money groups.

If you’re willing and able to help me out, I’d greatly appreciate any support you can show my campaign.

We’re also always looking for more volunteers to help us knock doors, walk in parades, and collect nomination signatures.
