Hey Friend, it’s First Lady Marty Kemp.


Last week, Brian and I attended Greater Georgia’s Legislative Awards Ceremony and I had the opportunity to sit down with Sen. Kelly Loeffler to discuss our efforts to combat human trafficking, support survivors, and go after the perpetrators of this evil industry.



In 2019, I created the Georgians for Refuge, Action, Compassion, and Education Commission (GRACE) to combat the threat of human trafficking across the state. The Grace Commission is comprised of public officials, law enforcement, faith-based organizations, for-profit and non-profit institutions, and subject matter experts who are committed to tackling human trafficking, seeking justice for victims, and holding bad actors accountable under the law.


I’m proud of the work we’ve accomplished to crack down on human trafficking and improve mental health across our state, and with the help of the Georgia General Assembly, we have achieved a great deal including:
- Passing nine pieces of bipartisan legislation to punish criminals, safeguard victims, and help save lives.

- Securing more funding for the Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit that works with local, state, and federal law enforcement to arrest and prosecute offenders.

- Founding Grace’s Place, a first-of-its-kind facility that gives round-the-clock care to young victims and child survivors of human trafficking.

As a mom to three daughters, this issue is very important to me, and I’m thankful for all of those in Georgia who have partnered with us in this fight. Rest assured, we’ll continue working together to shine a light on this important issue, and we won’t rest until justice is finally served.
