Happy Earth Day, John!

Growing up, my mom, aunt, and uncle were passionate about our state's natural beauty, plants, and wildlife, and they instilled those values in me from a young age.

To this day, one of my favorite things about Texas, especially this time of year, are the wildflowers. Their colors are unbelievably vibrant – blue, orange, pink – and they're not just in gardens and parks. Texas wildflowers line our roads and highways thanks to initiatives led by Lady Bird Johnson, who was a great Texan and champion for our outdoors and keeping Texas beautiful.

I've been appreciating those wildflowers and all of Texas' natural beauty from the campaign trail over the last year – and this has been a constant reminder to me of what's at stake if we don't do something to tackle the climate crisis.

Texans are already feeling the effects of climate change, from hotter summers to more severe storms. But as our Senator, Ted Cruz has repeatedly denied the existence of climate change and voted against policies to protect our environment.

This Earth Day, with our planet's future and so much of what we care about at stake, I'm asking for your support in my race against Ted Cruz. Our state, our country, and our planet can't afford six more years of him in the Senate. Thankfully, polls show this race is TIED, and experts agree we've got a real chance at winning – but I need your help, John.

Please, will you chip in $5 or more now to help me reach my $54,000 goal in honor of the 54th Earth Day? Every dollar gets us closer to firing Ted Cruz and delivering real, solutions-focused leadership for Texans.

Thank you so much – I hope you're able to get outside to enjoy this Earth Day!

Colin
