Happy Earth Day! We’re celebrating all the progress Democrats have made in championing a new green economy that works for EVERYONE.
But to do that, we need to elect an environmental champion to the governor seat next year to undo Glenn Youngkin’s terrible record on the environment!
Last year, we all paid the price for Gov. Youngkin’s misguided efforts to exit the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
And it was only because we were able to keep the State Senate and flip the State House last year that we’ve been able to challenge Gov. Youngkin’s plans to roll back key environmental policies like Gov. Northam’s vehicle emissions rules.
But we need to do our part to re-elect not just Joe Biden, but Sen. Kaine, and our U.S. House Delegation this year. PLUS, we must lay the groundwork for electing a pro-environment governor and maintain control of the state legislature in 2025.
