Today is Earth Day, a day dedicated to bringing awareness to protecting our planet.
Although it has been over 50 years since the commemoration of this day, we still have a long way to go when it comes to prioritizing combating the climate crisis and protecting our planet for future generations.
The climate crisis is real, and America should be leading the fight against it, rather than ignoring it. Will you join me by adding your name to call on Congress to take tangible action to address the climate crisis?
Recently, I had the pleasure of joining my neighbors at the St. Vartan Park Conservancy’s annual Earth Day event. And it was inspiring to see their dedication to protecting our planet.
But, sadly, the truth is, many of my Republican colleagues in Congress have long neglected climate action, and have continued to kick the can down the road for future generations to deal with. This Earth Day, I’m determined to change that.
Unlike so many Republicans who are beholden to their corporate polluter and Big Oil donors, I
refuse to take contributions from oil and gas companies that are actively destroying our planet, and threatening the lives of future generations while they’re at it.
I am also a proud supporter of the Green New Deal Resolution, aiming to take US carbon emissions down to net-zero levels while promoting green infrastructure, industry, and jobs. It’s the future that’s at stake here.
This Earth day, we must recognize the urgency of taking action against the climate crisis. Add your name to take action today!
Thank you,
Jerry
