You know what? This work is challenging–long hours, time away from family, Republican chaos.

The constant rancor in Congress can grate on even the most optimistic among us (raises hand). But you know what keeps me going? Knowing that I have you all in my corner. Seriously.

It’s hard to describe the daunting task of raising 5 million dollars in just two years while setting up a Freshman office and still being there for my family. And then, just as we’re starting to make REAL progress on our fundraising goal for re-election, my super-wealthy opponent and his billionaire backers launch a super PAC to unseat me.

I’m undeterred. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and I know I can go the distance. But I’ve got a simple ask—can I get a high five?
