This morning I’m thinking about Earth Day and how lucky I am that Colorado is my home and I get to raise my children in such a wonderful place.

We are surrounded by stunning beauty and natural resources that we depend on to sustain life. If you live here in Colorado, I’m sure you feel the same!

I’m fighting for this seat in CO-04 for many reasons, but a really big one is to make sure that Colorado remains a safe and healthy place for our kids and grandkids to build their lives.

Some of my priorities for addressing climate change include a fully funded climate conservation corps, subsidies to incentivize a rapid transition to renewable energy and job creation while protecting energy industry workers’ jobs and livelihoods.

I also believe Congress should officially designate climate change a national security threat, and task the Department of Defense with addressing their role in solutions to innovate our way out of this crisis.

I hope you catch a moment today to reflect on the beauty of your natural surroundings, and remember that it’s going to take all of us to save the only home we have.
