Hello Friend,
Happy Earth Day!
Today, as we celebrate our planet and the incredible life it sustains, I have some heartwarming news to share with you. Last month, a giant anteater named Fadinha was released back into her natural habitat!
Rescued from the devastating factory farming wildfires in Brazil, this wonderful animal was nurtured back to health by Instituto Tamandua, an organization part of “Orphans of the Fires Project” that World Animal Protection supports. And now, because of you, she is free to roam again. Check out the quick video taken of Fadinha’s release! (It's not the best quality, but we were so excited to see her take her first steps into freedom, and we thought you would appreciate this touching scene.)
As we celebrate this milestone, I'm reminded of the power of collective action. As an animal advocate and friend of World Animal Protection, your support enabled us to give Fadinha the necessary care she needed and a safe return to the wild.
But our mission is far from over. The Brazil wildfires were started deliberately by the factory farming industry to clear land for cattle to graze. Factory farms are vastly contributing to climate change and the destruction of animal habitats including wild animals who call these forests home. And this continues to be an issue in Brazil and beyond. Which is why we need your help.
Will you join other supporters and make a gift in honor of Earth Day? Your support will help us fight against the expansion of factory farming and deliver lasting change for all animals that are exploited and suffering.
Thank you for making every day Earth Day for animals.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Cameron Harsh
