Since 2015, our Liberal team has taken important steps to fight climate change and protect our environment for future generations.
We’re putting a price on pollution and putting that money back in the pockets of Canadian families with the Canada Carbon Rebate, we’re protecting 30% of our oceans and coasts by 2030, and we’re making zero-emission vehicles more affordable for Canadians. And that’s not all.

Budget 2024 lays out our continued commitment to fight climate change and protect our environment by:

Investing in Canada’s National Parks to preserve them for visitors and future generations and creating three new National Parks in British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario.

Expanding our Extreme Weather Early Warning System to forecast and notify Canadians about natural disasters, with a focus on flooding and storm surges.

Attracting EV manufacturers to Canada, making zero-emission vehicles more affordable for Canadians, and building more charging stations across the country.

Introducing the Canada Carbon Rebate for Small Businesses to support and return funds to more than 600,000 small businesses across the country.

But Pierre Poilievre doesn’t have a plan to fight climate change or protect the environment. He wants to roll back our progress and cut the Canada Carbon Rebate, which would take money out of Canadians’ pockets.
