John –

The anti-abortion movement is callously using the COVID-19 pandemic to indefinitely shut down abortion clinics in multiple states.

Tell your governor that abortion is essential, and it is critical that clinics remain open to provide them during this pandemic. Sign the petition now.

While communities heroically mobilize to make sure loved ones and neighbors have food and basic essentials, ‘pro-life’ leaders in Texas, Alabama, Iowa, and Oklahoma are looking to capitalize on the pandemic. They wasted no time turning to conservative governors with plans to designate abortion as a nonessential service and force clinics to stop providing care. Texas is threatening huge fines or jail time for those that violate the order.

Sign the petition to tell your governor that abortions are essential and clinics must remain open to provide them.

During this crisis, we have witnessed inspiring acts of courage and the power of communities coming together. It is disgusting but not at all surprising that the anti-abortion movement sees the COVID-19 pandemic as a political opportunity rather than a public health crisis. We can now add capitalizing on a pandemic to the long list of ‘pro-life’ hypocrisy.

A pandemic is the worst time to shut down access to abortion care. Tell your governor that abortion is essential, and clinics must be able to provide them during this pandemic.
