We did it. Today, the vision thousands of young people organized tirelessly for becomes a reality. The Biden Administration just opened applications for the American Climate Corps.

Four years ago, Sunrise began campaigning for a Climate Corps. We walked hundreds of miles. We protested in the streets in DC and around the country. We built coalitions.

Now 20,000 young people will work this summer and fall to care for their communities and tackle the climate crisis through the program.

For so long, so many people told us that a Climate Corps was radical, far-fetched and would never happen. But we didn’t listen. We forced those in power to listen to us and took a huge step toward a Green New Deal.

We’re not letting up now. We will demand Congress fund the program to increase the size, pay, and vision of the program.
