In honor of National Community Action Month and in recognition of the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of Community Action Agencies (CAA), The Office of Community Services will be hosting a kickoff event on May 1st, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to recognize the numerous contributions that CAAs have made and continue to make across the country. As part of the kickoff celebration, our very own Beloit Fresh Start YouthBuild Program was selected as the feature program to highlight the amazing work of our national network. Alumni student Lourdes Flores Tello, current student Riley Kramer, current student Markhi Thompson, and two of our staff members will have the amazing opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. as representatives of our organization, our state association WISCAP, and our national association NCAP. During the kickoff, our program will be highlighted, and our students will have the opportunity to speak and share their experiences. |
