Our university campuses, which have safe spaces for every kind of student to protect against perceived microaggressions, are allowing pro-terrorist supporters to openly demand the genocide of Jews. If any other minority group was targeted like this in America, it would be stopped immediately. President Biden and state governors would send in the national guard if the police couldn’t handle it. Why are we allowing the targeting of Jews across America? Why do we have elected representatives in Congress who openly support terrorists and their tactics? Why are the other Democrat leaders silent about it? How long will we allow them to abuse the English language and redefine words to only apply to Jews? I am disgusted and this has to change now! In case you missed it, Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, was among more than 100 protesters arrested at Thursday’s pro-terrorist rally at Columbia University. She was cited for trespassing and released a few hours later. Hirsi revealed on Twitter that she was suspended from the Columbia-affiliated Barnard College over her involvement in the protests. Ilhan’s daughter is an organizer with Columbia University Apartheid Divest, an antisemitic organization that supports the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction (BDS) platform, which like Hamas, also seeks to destroy Israel, even if the means to achieve those ends are different. She pledged to continue protesting until her demands were met, writing “those of us in Gaza Solidarity Encampment will not be intimidated.” She added they will stand resolute until their demands are met, which include divestment from companies complicit in genocide, transparency of Columbia’s investments, “and FULL amnesty for all students facing repression.” Naturally, Ilhan Omar tweeted that she is “enormously proud” of her daughter. According to Ilhan, her daughter “has always led with courage and compassion.” The so-called courage and compassion that Ilhan and her daughter support is the genocide of Jews openly promoted at Columbia University. These terrorist-promoters have been chanting shocking and genocidal slogans, praising the October 7th Palestinian massacre of Jews, holding signs directing Hamas to target and kill Jewish students at Columbia University, and setting up memorials for convicted PFLF, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad terrorists. One Jewish student, Eliana Goldin, called Saturday night “an absolute breaking point,” and she described people sneaking onto campus through gaps in the fence where her friends were verbally harassed and some were physically assaulted. “Public safety and the NYPD did not help us,” she explained. “We were essentially stalked and followed as we tried to leave the escalating situation.” “They yelled at us to go back to Poland, that we have no culture and chanted, ‘Strike strike Tel Aviv,” Goldin said. It has become so bad that Rabbi Elie Buechler, the Orthodox rabbi at Columbia University and Barnard College sent a message recommending Jewish students leave campus and go home "as soon as possible" until the situation improves, noting that "what we are witnessing in and around campus is terrible and tragic."  "The events of the last few days, especially last night, have made it clear that Columbia University’s Public Safety and the NYPD cannot guarantee Jewish students’ safety in the face of extreme antisemitism and anarchy," Buechler wrote. To be clear, these are pro-terrorist rallies. A rally of students dressed as the KKK and calling for the lynching of Black people would not and should not be tolerated on U.S. college campuses. Why is it tolerated if students target Jews and promote their terrorist killers? The situation has yet to elicit a response from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) or Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), Sara Jacobs (D-CA) and Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), three of the Columbia alumni serving in Congress, have likewise said nothing. These are the same folks who preached, "silence is violence!" I can’t believe I need to say this but our elected representatives should not represent or propagate on behalf of U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organizations.
