Folks – this Earth Day, I’m more grateful than ever to call Maryland my home. Some of my earliest memories are learning to fish on the Choptank River with my family.

From our many state parks to the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, we’ve got so much natural beauty around us to be thankful for. And it’s up to all of us to treasure it and do what we can to protect it for future generations.

That’s why I voted to support President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda in Congress, helping to pass the Inflation Reduction Act that included record investments in renewable energy and fighting climate change.

In the Senate, I’ll continue to champion environmental protection here and push for bold action on climate change – because our children can’t wait.

For too long – big oil and other polluters have blocked progress on climate change. But I don’t take a dime from PACs, lobbyists, and corporations – instead, I fight to hold them accountable for the damage they’ve caused.
