Hi John,

We're celebrating Earth Day by taking a moment to reflect on what the Democratic Party stands for.

Oklahoma, like many parts of the world, is experiencing noticeable shifts in its climate patterns. From extreme weather events to changes in precipitation patterns and temperature fluctuations, the effects of climate change are becoming more evident with each passing year.

One of the most pressing concerns is the increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as severe storms, heatwaves, and droughts. These events not only pose immediate risks to human safety and infrastructure but also have long-term implications for agriculture, water resources, and ecosystems in our state.

Addressing climate change requires a concerted effort from individuals, communities, businesses, and policymakers. By raising awareness, implementing sustainable practices, and advocating for policies that mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and promote resilience, we can work towards a more sustainable and resilient future for Oklahoma.

Democratically yours,

Alicia Andrews

Chairwoman, Oklahoma Democratic Party
