Dear Friends,

As Jews around the world gather for the holiday of Passover, we retell the story of the Exodus from Egypt. In the long history of the Jewish people, this is but one story about our search for freedom and safety over millennia. Indeed over time our History has repeated and yet repeats.

The story of the Jews encompasses 4000 years of exile, with Jewish populations forced from our place of origin in Canaan to all corners of the earth, facing persecution and violence at every stage.

On Monday at sundown, when we gather at our seder tables to celebrate our freedom from slavery in ancient Egypt, we will continue to mourn the losses of Anne, Margot, and Edith Frank, along with millions whose names and faces we will never know.

With rising antisemitism globally and challenges to fact-based education, our work is more urgent than ever. Anne Frank Center USA will continue to use the current environment as motivation to expand our reach, grow our impact, and inspire individuals to make positive change in the world.

With best wishes for a Chag Pesach Sameach, a Happy Passover. May it be filled with hope.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lauren Bairnsfather
Chief Executive Officer
