Dear Friends and Fellow Zionists,

As we sit this year at our respective Seder tables to observe the holiday of Passover, we recount the story of Exodus, remembering the plight of our ancient ancestors. But we don't do this to simply remember what happened back then. We tell the story each year because the story is ongoing. We are the Jewish People of today, and we are connected to the Jewish People of thousands of years in the past and in the future.

It is a common Jewish practice to relate biblical stories to events happening in the present day, in order to internalize their meaning. This year, we won't need to use much imagination as we recite phrases such as:

And it is this (the Torah) that has stood by our ancestors and for us.

For not only one (enemy) has risen up against us to destroy us, but in every generation they rise up to destroy us.

But the Holy One, Blessed be He, delivers us from their hands.

Currently, there are multiple enemies working very hard to destroy us. But their maniacal dreams will soon be shattered as they witness the miraculous strength of the Jewish People, which has been has been tested approximately once in every generation, as we read in the Haggadah.

When the Jewish People are united, our Nation is unstoppable. This Passover will be a holiday to recharge, remember who we are, and to meet the occasion and rise up. (Unlike our bread.) Our strength will be tested in the coming months, and it is our turn to demonstrate to the world what the Zionist spirit looks like.

We at the ZOA will continue our work every day to defend Israel and the Jewish People, and to tell the truth about the current Holy War loudly and clearly - because it must be said, even if we must say it alone.

God bless our brave IDF soldiers, Israel, and the United States.
