Dear John,

Happy Earth Day! Today and every day, we’re focused on helping people understand that the climate crisis is a reproductive justice crisis

What exactly does this mean? Our research around the world shows that the climate crisis undermines the right to have a child, to not have a child, and to parent children in safe and healthy environments. For Earth Day, we’ve just published this easy-to-read overview of our findings

Fortunately, women often have the climate solutions we need. They play a leading role in helping their families and communities survive extreme weather events and adapt to climate change. That’s why we’re centering women and girls as we work with local partners to build climate resilience.

Please help us expand this vital work with a donation today.

Your support helps us work in places like drought-stricken northern Kenya, where women must now walk long distances for food and water, putting them at risk for sexual violence and unintended pregnancy. We’ve partnered with local groups to make women’s climate solutions—like a community water tap, tree-planting programs, and information on contraception and menstrual hygiene—a life-changing reality.
