Hi, friend, it’s Amber Padora. Last year, a hardline Texas conservative
federal judge ruled that mifepristone – a drug that has been used to aid in
early abortions for over two decades –could no longer be used in the US.

This is just one more step in the GOP’s attempt to take away the right to an
abortion and to ban the lifesaving drugs that provide women with the health
care they need. It’s not about being “pro-life” – it’s about controlling women.

As a mother, I fear for the future that my daughter will grow up in if this
ruling is allowed to stand. What else will be on the chopping block after
abortion? Contraception? More of our fundamental freedoms? I’m not waiting
around to find out.We need to send someone to Congress who will fight to defend
these basic rights. And that’s John.

If a right-wing federal judge can decide to ban an abortion drug, and that
ruling can help to ban the drug nationwide, who is to stop an anti-vax judge
from doing the same thing for a vaccine or any other life-saving drug? If a
judge can ban a drug that’s been in use for over twenty years, who is to stop a
judge from banning contraceptives altogether?

We will not live in a country in which ONE radical judge can ban a safe drug
with decades of previous approval and use. John will see to that in Washington.
