John, too often, campaigns become all about what the candidate is against. You’ve heard the fear-mongering and you’ve seen the finger pointing… but that’s not what I’m about.
This campaign is about the people I’m running for.
I want to tell you about the people behind my race, but first, I need to make sure I have the resources it takes to win this fight for them. So I have to ask: Can you rush $25 right now to help me hit my next big goal and keep MD-06 blue? >>
I’m running because as a Hagerstown native, and the only candidate in the race
from Washington County, I actually know what the working folks of MD-06 need.
I didn’t choose to run in Maryland’s most competitive district, I chose to run in my community. I chose to run for my people, John.
People like my five children, who overcame institutional barriers to start their own small businesses and get involved in their community as volunteers, political activists, and proud parents.
Our children deserve a leader who inspires them to live boldly.
People like my aunts and uncles, who taught me to be proud of my upbringing and identity. My folks proudly displayed their gay, non-binary, and transgender identities – showing me that I come from a long line of changemakers and trailblazers.
People like the residents of MD-06, who deserve to walk on safe sidewalks, afford the healthcare they need, and put food on the table. I know firsthand that those basic costs always seem to go up and never come down… and I’m running to change that.
John, I need all hands on deck to win this race for the people I love and for all of MD-06. We need a leader who cares about the people they represent, and brings real change to their community.
