I've been through a lot of elections, Samuel, and it's a
simple fact that you're not going to win them all. No matter
how hard you work, sometimes things don't turn out the way
you want them to.

But I hope you won't listen to any of the people who are
saying that what happened on one Tuesday night in November
changed everything -- because they are wrong.

Nothing changed the fact that there are millions of
Americans counting on us to create good middle-class jobs,
and build better schools for our children. It didn't change
that we still have a lot of work to do together, and two
full years to do it.
