Dear Friends/Amigos,
On May 3, 2024, my office will throw a Casework/Resources Fair to help all residents of Florida's 27th Congressional District with any federal casework needs they might have.
Representatives from various agencies will be present to answer your questions about casework relating to USCIS (Immigration), Social Security and Medicare, the IRS, Veterans Affairs, and Passport Services. Stop by at the Coral Gables Library from 10am to 2pm that day for help on any of these areas of interest.
It is an honor to serve you in Congress, and as always, please don't hesitate to call my office at (202) 225-3931 with your opinion.
Sincerely/Atentamente,
María E. Salazar
U.S. Representative (FL-27)

HONORING VICKY DÁVILA, ONE OF COLOMBIA'S BRAVEST JOURNALISTS
|
|
For months, I have sounded the alarm on Gustavo Petro's administration in the Casa de Nariño, Colombia's presidential palace. A former Marxist guerrilla, he now wields the power of Colombia's presidency in his hands, and he has already begun to attack the same institutions he is supposed to protect.
One of those institutions is the wildly popular Revista Semana, a Colombian news publication that has remained dedicated to quality investigative journalism in the face of these attacks.
For this bravery and dedication, my friend and colleague Rep. Carlos Giménez (R-FL) and I decided to award the woman at its head, Vicky Dávila, with a congressional award to recognize all that she and her publication are doing to keep the Colombian people accurately informed.

Earlier this week, I went Elizabeth MacDonald's show on Fox Business to talk about the foreign aid packages the House of Representatives passed on Saturday, immigration, and more. Click here to watch that interview!
