Millions of acres in Alaska’s Western Arctic to be protected from future oil drilling

The Biden administration’s actions will ensure maximum protection for more than 13 million acres in the Western Arctic. The new regulations will also establish an outright prohibition on any new oil and gas leasing in 10.6 million acres. Read more: [link removed]

Historic court decision puts big polluters on notice in Latin America

A mountain community in the Peruvian Andes has won a victory that will echo across Latin America. An international court ruled in favor of the people of La Oroya, Peru, finding that the government violated their right to a healthy environment. Read more: [link removed]

New limits on PFAS in drinking water will protect communities across the U.S.

The EPA adopted new rules that will help protect communities from being poisoned by six highly toxic PFAS chemicals via their drinking water. This is the first time the government has set a nationwide limit on these “forever chemicals.” Read more: [link removed]
