House Republicans are Standing with Israel Against Evil

Over the last several months, I, along with my colleagues in the House of Representatives, have made it clear that the United States will always stand with Israel, our greatest ally in the Middle East. In light of Iran’s unjustified attack on Israel, I spoke on the House floor in support of H. Res. 1143, condemning Iran’s unprecedented drone and missile attack on Israel, which passed the House earlier this week.

The House also passed comprehensive legislation supporting Israel’s response to the attack and sanctioning Iran’s leaders, cutting off their revenue sources, and targeting their partners and terrorist proxies. This includes H.R. 6046 which redesignates the Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, H.R. 4691 which provides for tighter congressional oversight of any Administration attempt to weaken sanctions imposed on Iran, and H.R. 5497 which ensures Iran cannot gain access to funds that could be used to support terrorism.

Our Adversaries Are Capitalizing on President Biden's Weaknesses

President Biden eased sanctions against Iran so that they could do things like sell more of their oil on world markets. That's not only putting tens of billions of dollars in the pockets of Iran, but it's giving Iran direct money to go fund more terrorist activity against countries like Israel and the United States. They hate Israel, and they hate the United States. It's time for the Democrat leadership in Washington to stand up against the real enemy, and that is Iran and their terrorist proxies, just as Republicans have done time and time again.

Every spring, Louisiana’s First Congressional District participates in a nation-wide high school arts competition to provide an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in our district.

Visiting with St. Benilde Middle School Students

I had a great time visiting with a group from St. Benilde Middle School and their parents who recently visited Washington. It was wonderful to hear from these bright young students, answer several of their questions, and share with them about the work I do to serve Louisiana’s First Congressional District as their elected Representative.
