Did you see the inspiring message that Make-A-Wish® volunteer Cheryl Bartnick sent yesterday? Today is Volunteer Recognition Day, so we wanted to make sure you saw it.
When you sign the card for our dedicated volunteers like Cheryl, you are honoring the people who work tirelessly to give kids the fullest possible wish experience. They dedicate their lives to helping provide the hope and strength of a wish, which is why they deserve our deepest gratitude today.
As a devoted Make-A-Wish® volunteer for eight years, I know firsthand the true impact a wish can have.
The work is more rewarding than I could have imagined: My favorite part of being a volunteer is getting to know wish kids and their families, filling their days with fun and excitement and allowing them to simply enjoy their lives amid so much uncertainty.
I've seen firsthand how our team of WishMaker® volunteers can help give wish kids hope to finish their treatments and families the energy to keep fighting the fight.
That's why Make-A-Wish has put together a card for you to share your gratitude to volunteers who are making wishes come true. We're looking for 2,000 signers to add their names by midnight tomorrow, and I want to make sure yours is included:
