The New York Times fails to include trans voices in majority of articles about trans issues
Recently, GLAAD and Media Matters released a report that revealed that the New York Times failed to quote a trans person in two-thirds of its stories about anti-trans legislation in the past year. Last year, GLAAD joined over 150 organizations and leaders, in addition to hundreds of contributors, to launch efforts critiquing the New York Times's coverage of trans people and issues. GLAAD continues to push for all forms of media, including traditional print media, to be fair, accurate and inclusive for all LGBTQ people.

"Protect This Kid" campaign launches to counter anti-LGBTQ narratives and misinformation
GLAAD and Ogilvy have launched a bold worldwide digital campaign, “Protect This Kid,” in support of LGBTQ youth, including a creative hub exclusively at ProtectThisKid.com. This campaign comes in response to anti-LGBTQ activists falsely claiming that LGBTQ people are a threat to children while erasing the existence of LGBTQ children. Recognizable LGBTQ folks like Beanie Feldstein, Sherry Cola, and Ryan “R.K.” Russell debuted the campaign with photos of themselves as children and the campaign also calls on LGBTQ people and allies like you to share photos of yourself as a kid using #ProtectThisKid.
