I think you should be able to celebrate 4/20 in Iowa. That’s why last year I helped lead the charge on a bill to legalize cannabis for adult use, which would have helped keep Iowans safe and established a burgeoning industry right here in Iowa.
But Iowa Republicans have worked hard to keep every form of cannabis illegal.

Iowa Democrats know the benefits that cannabis could provide to our state – like giving farmers a whole new cash crop, providing medical relief to thousands of people, and stopping state resources from being used to unfairly punish Iowans.
Nearly every neighboring state has legalized cannabis in at least some way. We’re falling behind on an opportunity that could be used to invest in public schools, public safety, environmental protection, and so much more.
