FACT: Over 40,000 Americans are currently in jail for cannabis.
In October 2022, President Biden announced a mass pardon for past federal cannabis convictions and signaled that too many Americans are in jail for non-violent, drug-related crimes.
Activists celebrate this move but believe it doesn't go far enough.
