When you join the Earth Month Challenge with a gift today, you'll make double the impact on some of the most critical environmental issues we face today, like:
Conserving our priceless public lands. After months of pressure from Sierra Club members and other activists, the Biden administration just unveiled a new vision for millions of acres of public lands – but anti-environment lawmakers in Congress are already preparing for an attempt to roll them back. We need you with us to fight back against threats to these ecologically critical and culturally important landscapes.
Stopping pollution and fossil fuel expansion. We've secured major victories already in 2024, including President Biden's announcement of stronger vehicle emissions standards that will dramatically reduce air pollution, and the retirement of the last two remaining coal plants in New England. We're ramping up our efforts to shut down MORE dirty fossil fuel projects and win MORE victories for clean air and water this year – and we need your support to do it.
Defending endangered wildlife and the habitats they call home. Anti-environment members of Congress are attempting to force through legislation that would remove vulnerable animals like gray wolves from the endangered species list, and undermine protections for other wildlife. Your gift today will do twice as much to help us save countless species from being pushed to the brink of extinction.
Friend, I learn something new every day about the incredible work my colleagues here at the Sierra Club are doing for our environment – from fighting in court to rallying local activists and beyond. I'm proud to be part of an organization that is helping our communities, our wildlife, and our planet thrive – and I hope you are too, because none of it would be possible without you.
