Fort Worth has Fallen   The Roundup is a weekly production of the Tarrant County GOP to bring you the latest headlines on conservative victories, upcoming events, and opportunities to make a difference in Tarrant County. Radical Democrats are suing us. CLICK HERE to DONATE TODAY   DEI Commissioner Attacks Judge O'Hare This week radical leftist Tarrant County Commissioner Alisa Simmons got into an argument with County Judge Tim O'Hare during a Commissioners' Court meeting. Simmons accused O'Hare of racism, as she does to any conservative who doesn't immediately bend to her will. Let's take a brief look at Alisa Simmons' long and storied history of accusing people of racism. In 2014 Simmons sued Tarrant County for not paying for her Master's degree. To no one's surprise, she accused the county of "racism." The case was rightly dismissed with prejudice. Last September, she claimed during a Commissioners' Court meeting that the hiring of the new County Administrator was due to "racism." Commissioner Simmons is under fire for allegations that her Democrat activist county staff engage in political work using county resources. She attacked Judge O'Hare for "hiring a partisan contractor" while she has a Democrat consultant, activist, and former Vice-Chair of the Democrat Party employed in her county office. After her incident in Commissioners' Court this week, a profanity-laced video of Simmons speaking down to a constituent resurfaced. You can watch the video below, but viewer discretion is advised as there is an absurd amount of profanity. While these races are technically "nonpartisan" we all know that candidates have an agenda. As you decide who to vote for, you may be interested in the candidates' voting histories. We've compiled them for you. Follow the link below to check them out! Find Voting Records Here Are You a Diversity Champion? Are you a diversity champion? If you work for the City of Fort Worth, then you can be. The city's Diversity & Equity Employee Committee is hosting "cultural awareness programs" for which employees can receive credit and become a Diversity Champion. One of these events is for Pride Month. During "Pride Month" the City is holding a screening of The Freedom to Marry, a leftist propaganda film about gay marriage. In case you weren't aware, the Human Rights Campaign - the organization notorious for advocating for gay marriage and the transitioning of children - has given Fort Worth a perfect 100% score on LGBTQ acceptance. That's a higher score than Denton, El Paso, and Houston! Read the Full Story Here Fort Worth Censors De-Transitioners   Fort Worth's capture by the LGBT mafia doesn't end with Pride Month movie screenings. Now the city is refusing to hold events that are critical of trans ideology. Carlos Turcios, a Tarrant County GOP Precinct Chair, had a de-transitioner advocacy event canceled by the City of Fort Worth this week because the event "didn't comply with the City's values." The decision was made by the Fort Worth Parks and Recreation Department. Tarrant County GOP Chairman Bo French has called for concerned citizens to let the department know how they feel about it. He released their contact information here. Fort Worth's Local Elections will be on May 3rd, 2025. TCGOP Chairman Bo French has already warned Fort Worth officials that the party will be holding them accountable.   Schatzline Protects Keller Residents We will end with some good news. A concrete plant was scheduled to be built in Keller near a residential community and a high school. Many residents and concerned Tarrant County citizens were troubled by the impact this plant would have had on their community, and State Rep. Nate Schatzline jumped into the fray. Schatzline used his position to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality - who grants permits for these kinds of plants - to hold a public meeting and delay the plant's construction. This brought attention to the issue and gave residents time to organize, as well as extended the required public comment period. The comment period ended on April 17th. After TCEQ responds to the comments, the decision will be made by the TCEQ Executive Director Kelly Keel. If the agency approves the permit, residents living near the plant will be able to file complaints. Schatzline is actively using his office to defend the quality of life and close-to-home issues of Tarrant County residents, and we commend him for it! Read the Full Story Here!
