Tell Congress to vote NO on the PERA Act!

<[link removed]>Stop another step towards WW3! <[link removed]>

Dear John,

Congress is attempting to pass a $2.5 billion dollar bill funding US military expansion in the Philippines. The US imperial agenda seeks to escalate tensions with China and push the world into WW3. Act now to protect local Filipino communities and tell Congress no more militarization in the Asia-Pacific!

The PERA Act is not just a war hazard– it’s an insult to native Filipino people and a blight on the pristine environment of their homes. Last week, Filipino peace activists gathered outside the US embassy in Manila, and in cities across the United States to denounce the bill. Congress is failing, once again, to protect the planet and its people.

Tell the White House you stand with Filipino peace activists and don’t support military expansion! <[link removed]>

As we veer dangerously close to WW3, the US continues to pump tax dollars into militarization and creating mini alliances with Asia-Pacific nations that could easily pull the entire region into a wider conflict– one nobody wants. The passage of the PERA Act would act in opposition to global peace and security, heightening tensions in the region and needlessly antagonizing China. Even a mild conflict could cause a 25-35% reduction in China’s GDP, which would create nationwide hardship for millions of Chinese civilians.

Policymakers believe military expansion is the answer, but military expansion is only one thing: a precursor to war.

In the next few weeks, over 10,000 US troops will gather for the Balikatan war games to test territorial defense systems in the region. This year, they’ve also invited Japan to join. The US is expected to continue ramping up its militancy, and in the name of peace, we have to put a stop to it.

Tell Congress you want global peace and environmental protection, not war!  <[link removed]>
