Crime victim service programs in California provide free medical care,
mental health counseling, lost wages, courtroom advocacy, and temporary
housing to victims and their families — but they are in desperate need of
additional funding.

Rob is sponsoring a bill to provide those critical resources to those in
need while holding corporations accountable.

Assembly Bill 2432, authored by Assemblymembers Jesse Gabriel (D-Encino)
and Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-Colton), would increase monetary penalties for
big corporations that break the law and direct that money to crime victim
service programs across the state.

It’s important that when big, powerful corporations break the law — like
exploiting workers or polluting our air and water — they are held
accountable to the people.

This bill will do that while simultaneously helping crime victims
(including victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and child
abuse) get the resources they need.
