Dear Friends, 

I want to thank all the attendees who joined me last weekend for my Kankakee Health & Wellness Expo. It was inspiring to see so many community organizations assemble to address the critical health needs in our district. I'm also working with my colleagues this week to develop national security legislation that protects our allies abroad and upholds our nation's commitment to humanitarian assistance. I will always advocate for our communities and defend our national security. 

Kankakee Health & Wellness Fair 

I was delighted to see so many members of our community come out for my Health & Wellness Fair in Kankakee. I look forward to hosting more events that connect our community to local health resource providers.

4th Ward Senior Job Fair 

It was an honor to join Chicago Alderman Lamont Robinson for his Senior Job Fair in the 4th Ward. I will always work with our local leaders to get seniors the resources they need. 

New Legislation to Protect Seniors 

Congress has a moral obligation to stop con artists targeting our nation’s seniors. Scams preying on their fears are unacceptable and often harm entire families, which is why I introduced the Protecting Seniors from Emergency Scams Act. This legislation would direct the Federal Trade Commission to examine the digital threats that seniors face and develop policy recommendations for addressing them.
