John,

In our efforts to persuade Congress to pass permanent paid sick leave for every worker in the United States, Voto Latino is texting voters urging them to call their members of Congress and demand they act.

That’s why this Thursday, April 9th at 3 pm EDT, we’re hosting a Happy Hour text party! Join us in texting voters and asking them to make their voices heard: RSVP now >>

With so many of us sitting around with nothing to do while we’re social distancing, it’s the perfect opportunity to use our time towards creating some positive change -- especially as millions of workers, including many Latinos, across the country, are forced to choose between staying home to protect their health or receiving a paycheck to pay the bills.

While the legislation passed recently by Congress will provide two weeks of paid sick leave to some workers, it’s not long-term and it’s not being provided to every worker, leaving many “essential” workers forced to keep working despite the risk to their and their family’s health.

That’s why we’ve set a goal of texting 50,000 voters next Thursday, and we need your help, John. Because if we put enough public pressure on our elected officials, we can make this right and pass permanent paid sick leave sooner rather than later.

Join us in building the pressure by registering for Thursday’s text party now.

Thanks,
