We are just over two weeks away from the May 7 primary election day and we need to continue full steam ahead. Don't forget you can avoid the lines and vote early! If you are unsure about your voting location you can use this link to check your voter portal at indianavoters.in.gov.

Already voted? Great! But if you're still itching to make a difference, please encourage your network to get out and vote. Furthermore, you can also help by signing up to be a poll worker or encourage others to volunteer as well. Poll workers are extremely valuable members of the team that make sure everything runs smoothly at the polling centers. Use this link to find your county and get in touch with your local Republican County Chair. They'll guide you on how to lend a hand and help us sprint through the finish line!

Primary elections are a great way to make sure your voice is heard within the party. We have an excellent slate of candidates up and down the ballot, so make sure your voice is heard.

Governor Eric Holcomb's Week in Review

🚨👨🚒Gov. Holcomb Announces New Funding for Volunteer Firefighters Across Indiana👩🚒🚒

Governor Eric Holcomb announced, along side the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, a $10 million state investment in new personal protective equipment for volunteer firefighters across Indiana.

What he’s saying: “While most people run from dangerous situations, firefighters run toward them to serve their community,” said Gov. Holcomb. “This investment is long overdue in our state. Nothing could be more important than for these brave men and women to be both properly suited and trained. It’s how we can best serve them as they serve us." - Gov. Holcomb said in a press release.

What else happened this week? Gov. Holcomb visited Brazil to strengthen relationships and target global growth in agbiosciences innovation.

What he's saying: "Strengthening bonds between #Indiana and 🇧🇷 at Christ the Redeemer! In awe of this symbol of unity and standing in its shadow is a reminder of the friendships and partnerships we have set out to cultivate on this trip." - Gov. Holcomb said in a post on X.

📚🎓 Improving Education in 2024 🏛️

In just the first 3 months of the fiscal year, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation reported a record setting $20.68 BILLION in new committed CapEx in 2024. To illustrate the significance of this investment, 2023 reported a record full year committed CapEx at $28.7 Billion. 2024 is on pace to dwarf those already record-breaking figures.

These large numbers reflect both new businesses coming to Indiana and existing businesses expanding. Committed CapEx refers to capital expenditures made by companies to take on new projects or expansions. Simply put, committed CapEx is how much money is being invested in growing business in Indiana.

When it comes to committed CapEx, a rising tide lifts all boats. When there are large investments that create new, high-paying jobs, whole communities and regions benefit! For example, the new $3.7 Billion microchip facility announced to be built in West Lafayette will:

Retain talent from Purdue University and prevent brain drain from the state.
Raise the average income in the community, flooding the area with new dollars that will be spent with local and small businesses in the area like restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
Indiana has taken the lead in this high-wage job sector of the future which will provide a thriving economy.

Committed CapEx across Indiana empowers communities to thrive and compete in the economy of the future. Republican leadership has turned the state into an economic powerhouse, with low costs of living, higher wages, tax cuts, and a welcoming environment for entrepreneurs. Indiana's economy is booming and ready to outpace competitors!
