Dear Friend,
We are standing on the precipice of a very serious war, and the
men who seek to lead us do not have a serious grasp of the situation
they created.
What
happened:
On April 1st, Israel launched an
unprovoked airstrike against an Iranian consulate in
Syria. It was nothing less than a criminal act of war
that killed 16 people, including multiple senior IRGC
commanders.
Two weeks
later, Iran launched a major attack against Israel as a
direct response to the assault on their consulate. Iran’s operation constituted a major show
of force, but did not result in any deaths and only one significant
injury caused by debris.
Following that barrage, Iran’s envoy to the UN issued a
statement citing their right to legitimate defense under Article 51,
and stating they consider the matter “concluded” unless Israel
continues their aggression.
In the span of a few hours we went from what appeared to be the
certainty of a widespread, regional war drawing in U.S. and European
powers – to a clear statement of intent to
de-escalate.
Instead,
Israel has chosen continued aggression and
escalation, launching
another strike on Iranian sovereign soil last
night.
The U.S. and U.K.
just imposed new sanctions against Iran, rejecting Iran’s effort to
de-escalate.
Biden
refused to condemn Israel’s attack on the consulate that started this
conflict. He refuses to stop pumping billions in arms to Israel to
continue their war crimes.
Before the first missiles were launched from Iran, Biden
promised "ironclad” support for Israel no matter what – an insanely reckless move that threatens
to plunge us into World War III.
Biden has
abandoned his responsibility as our Commander in Chief, effectively ceding authority to Netanyahu to
make unilateral decisions with huge U.S. foreign policy
implications.
Warmongers like Biden are too
dangerous to remain in power. WE DO NOT CONSENT to war with
Iran.
Ours is the only anti-war,
anti-genocide, pro-worker and climate action campaign on track to be
on the ballot all across the country. It’s time to abandon Biden and
vote for PEACE.
