Hi John,
We know that extremist Republicans are doing everything they can to restrict women’s freedoms – and Arizonans are having none of it.
Arizona for Abortion Access, a coalition for reproductive rights organizations, announced that they’ve received over half a million petition signatures, clearing the threshold needed for a November ballot measure that would enshrine abortion access into the Arizona Constitution.
Team Terán is in full support of this ballot initiative. Last week, we held a canvass collecting signatures for this ballot initiative!
Getting this on the ballot would be a huge deal and a necessary step for Arizona to protect women’s freedoms. Why?
We’ve got Republicans in power who seriously think if women were just less promiscuous, then they wouldn’t even need access to contraception. It wasn’t some extremist fringe figure saying this; it was the Arizona Senate Majority Leader.
We wrote a whole email, which we forwarded below.
That’s why we must support leaders like Raquel Terán, who has a record of fighting for women’s rights and access to legal and safe abortions. [[link removed]]

John, since the conservative majority on the Supreme Court made the reckless decision to overturn Roe, we’ve seen Republican-led states roll back and restrict access to safe and legal abortion – and we’re only fooling ourselves if we think it’ll stop there. [[link removed]]
From Alabama to Texas, we’ve seen Republican-led states challenge the legality of IVF and ban access to emergency contraception. We’re seeing the same thing here in Arizona.
Governor Hobbs and Arizona Democrats are working to protect all forms of birth control, including Plan B, with the ‘Right to Contraception Act.’ Republicans are blocking the bill from even getting a hearing.
Why? Well, some Republicans have suggested that if women weren’t so promiscuous, they wouldn’t need access to contraception.

"Like I said, Bayer Company invented aspirin. Put it between your knees." That’s what Arizona Senate Majority Leader Sonny Borrelli said regarding contraception access in Arizona.
It’s as disgusting as it is saddening. It’s clear we need to elect pro-choice, pro-freedom Democrats like Raquel Terán to Congress, who will fight tooth and nail to protect our fundamental rights and codify Roe into federal law.
It’s why she has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood and Reproductive Freedom for All. Join them in supporting our campaign today by making a donation of any amount right now >> [[link removed]]
Sí se puede,

[link removed] [[link removed]] Raquel Terán is running to represent Arizona's 3rd Congressional District as the first Latina congresswoman from Arizona.
For nearly 20 years, she's been fighting for higher wages for workers, healthcare for all, and better schools for our children.
She's helped build broad and diverse coalitions that have beaten Republicans like Donald Trump, Joe Arpaio, and Kari Lake.
Now she's ready to take the fight to Congress, but we'll need your support to win. Chip in today! [[link removed]]
