This week I want to talk to you about the DFL's irresponsible spending that?s been going on.?Click here [ [link removed] ]?to watch how the Democrats completely ignored the February budget forecasts warning to spend cautiously.?

After the February forecast was published, the Governor submitted a $250 million supplemental budget. That, in my opinion, was already pretty crazy considering that the DFL had just finished spending an $18 Billion surplus last year, raised $10 Billion in new taxes and several billion in other taxes.

But the DFL majority leaders were not to be outdone and they decided to DOUBLE the Governor?s request to over $500 million!

One thing they are reaching for is spending another $500,000 to make sure politicians eat healthier while we are in session by subsidizing the food offered at the Capitol and D.O.T. cafeterias!

This ridiculous waste of money is just another way the DFL is squandering your tax dollars and using it to benefit themselves, not Minnesotans. We do not need to subsidize another $500,000 to our building cafeterias when all that is needed is a simple menu update that could be negotiated with the vendor.?

Eating healthy is important, of course, but I don?t need a $500,000 subsidy to find healthy alternatives while I?m in Saint Paul. I can take that responsibility on myself!
