This week, I joined my Georgia Republican colleagues in sending a letter to the United States Postal Service (USPS) Postmaster General Louis DeJoy expressing deep concerns regarding the current state of mail service delivery in Georgia in the wake of significant delays and operational breakdowns. 

Americans should be able to trust that their mail will arrive on time. Period. I have continued to take action on this issue after hearing from many constituents about their ongoing and extensive delays with the USPS; these recurring delivery interruptions are significantly impacting Georgia families and businesses. My Georgia colleagues and I are demanding answers from Postmaster General DeJoy, and we will continue to take immediate and necessary steps until the situation is resolved.

Standing by Israel in the Face of Evil

With my support, the House of Representatives passed H. Res. 1143, a resolution condemning Iran’s unprecedented drone and missile attack on Israel last weekend.

Israel is the United States' closest ally and friend in the Middle East. This resolution reaffirms that the United States stands in solidarity with Israel in the face of Iranian aggression. It emphasizes Israel's right to self-defense and condemns Iran's funding of terrorism, particularly its direct attacks on Israel.

I had the opportunity to speak on the House floor to congratulate this year's Masters champion, Scottie Scheffler. In addition to being a 2x Masters champion, Scottie Scheffler is also a man of faith and character, repeatedly sharing with the world how faith, family, and the upcoming birth of his child define him, not just his incredible golf game. Scottie is a true champion and an exemplary role.

Speaking at the Capitol Worship Service

I also had the opportunity to speak at this week's Capitol Worship Service. During times of such division and uncertainty, it is through our collective faith and drawing near to the word of God that we find the path to unity, truth, and freedom.

As the Chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, I also work to highlight how prayer has played a vital role in strengthening the fabric of our society. The Congressional Prayer Caucus is a bipartisan Congressional Member Organization consisting of members from across the country who believe in the power of prayer.

I recently had the chance to welcome students and educators from Augusta University's Medical Illustration Graduate Program to the U.S. Capitol Building! This is one of only four such programs in the country emphasizing anatomical and surgical illustration for print and electronic publication, as well as for projection and broadcast distribution.

The Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) has played a pivotal role in empowering job creators to provide employer-sponsored benefits and ensuring consistency and value in health care for millions of American workers. As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of ERISA, this hearing explored avenues to continue to enable small and large businesses alike to offer consistent, high-quality health coverage plans to employees nationwide.

"Columbia in Crisis: Columbia University's Response to Antisemitism"

Jewish students enrolled at Columbia University have highlighted an environment of antisemitic harassment and isolation on campus. This is unacceptable, and Columbia University President Dr. Nemat “Minouche” Shafik was called before the Education and the Workforce Committee to answer for the rampant antisemitism on campus. While questioning President Shafik, I emphasized that Genesis 12:3 gives us a divine directive. In my work on the Education and the Workforce Committee, I will continue to take action to combat antisemitism in academia and ensure the safety and dignity of all students.
