John,
Earth Day is Monday, April 22, and this year, we have a specific mission: Taking on the polluting plastics industry.
Why? Because itโs people or plastics. We canโt have both.
Nearly half of U.S. plastic waste comes from single-use products and packaging. These toxic remains can last thousands of years and are found in almost every corner of the planet. Plastic pollution poses serious challenges to your health and the environment, including our soil, water, food, and even our bodies.
The corporations that produce plastics donโt care what destruction they leave behind as long as they profit โ but you do.
Save the date for Earth Day this Monday, and look for more ways to take action next week as part of the movement for a plastic-free future.
Your passion for the planet is what will put these plastic polluters in their place!
Onward together,
Wenonah Hauter
Founder & Executive Director
Food & Water Action
P.S. Make your Earth Day gift early this year! Your contribution today will be matched $3-to-$1 to have FOUR TIMES the impact to stop plastic pollution!
