After one of their senior reporters, Uri Berliner, was suspended for exposing the level of liberal bias at the taxpayer-funded “news” organization, Chris Rufo exposed something even more troubling - crazy, radical tweets from NPR’s new CEO. I sit on the Committee that oversees NPR - the Energy and Commerce Committee - and I’m calling on our Oversight and Investigations subcommittee to investigate how NPR is using your money to push a political agenda. As long as NPR has “public” in its name, it is responsible to American taxpayers and subject to oversight from Congress who controls its funding. More broadly, this demonstrates how conservatives can win against the far left. Oftentimes, we do not need to do anything more than expose their lunacy to the American people and not be crazy ourselves. The left is so easy to beat - in elections, in policy fights, in messaging wars - if we stick to this tactic. THE AUDACITY OF ILLEGALS IN NYC CLICK HERE TO READ MORE The treatment of illegal immigrants by sanctuary cities and by Joe Biden has produced the most obvious result. It turns out, giving illegal immigrants a free ticket into our country, prepaid credit cards, taxpayer funded benefits, free housing, and other public benefits does not make them satisfied… it makes them greedy for more from a government that welcomed them into our country with open arms. As Fox News reports: A hearing on the experiences of African migrants in New York City drew a crowd of more than 1,000 people Tuesday morning, some of whom were reportedly under the false assumption they would be getting work visas or green cards… dozens had been under the impression they’d receive work visas or green cards if they showed up. A source told the paper that the crowd was mostly comprised of newly arrived migrants from the West African nation of Guinea. This is exactly what happens when false promises are given to illegal immigrants who are encouraged to come to the United States by the far left. Our system was not designed to handle the sort of influx we’ve seen under Joe Biden, and our laws specifically forbid the flagrant abuse of our immigration process. Illegal immigrants will continue to demand work visas, green cards, free housing, and other taxpayer benefits so long as the left continues to allow them to freely enter and remain in our country without consequence. A DEMOCRAT POLITICAL TACTIC YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF CLICK HERE TO WATCH Republican primary voters need to beware of a political tactic from Democrats that they’ve used again and again to win general elections across the country. Here’s what happens: far-left super PACs try to trick you into nominating fake conservative nutjobs in the GOP primaries just so their Democrat candidates have a better chance of winning in the general election. They do this by painting their preferred candidate - someone Democrats know they can beat in a general election - as the “real conservative” and attacking the Republican who will be more difficult to beat in the general election as a “RINO.” It happens every year, and Democrats put millions of dollars behind this strategy. This strategy paid off big time for them in 2022 in places like New Hampshire, Michigan, Colorado, and other states. Good conservative candidates in winnable districts lost their GOP primaries to candidates who were largely propped up by these far-left super PACs. They’re using the same playbook in the primary for Brian Fitzpatrick - a great conservative who is a perfect fit for his moderate district in Pennsylvania. Politico reports that a group calling itself “True Patriots PA” - that’s funded by California Democrats - is pushing attack ads calling him a RINO and “best friends” with Kamala Harris. They’re desperate for his opponent, a serial grifter and self-admitted porn addict, to win the nomination so that he gets crushed in November. Don’t let it happen. Pennsylvania primary is on April 23rd, and if you have friends or family in Fitzpatrick’s district (PA-01) make sure they know this is happening. CONFRONTING BIDEN'S HHS SECRETARY ON PSEUDOSCIENCE DISGUISED AS "GENDER-AFFIRMING" HEALTHCARE FOR MINORS CLICK HERE TO WATCH The Biden Administration proves every day just how radical they are. This week, in an Energy & Commerce Committee hearing, I confronted Biden’s Secretary of Health & Human Services Xavier Becerra about his department pushing pseudoscience disguised as “gender-affirming” healthcare for children. He refused to admit it, but it’s clear in the department’s own reports that they are promoting highly questionable health surveys on the “benefits” on putting confused children on puberty blockers and other so-called “healthcare.” Healthcare is not 1) affirming a child’s temporary ideations about their gender, 2) putting that child on puberty blockers, then hormones, and ultimately surgery. Most Americans and normal people would say that giving a 12-year-old girl a double mastectomy is not ok. If you’re going to support transitioning children (which is NUTS), with permanent physiological changes –you better have VERY HIGH-QUALITY evidence. But the Left has no good evidence. It’s all Left-Wing ideology that has infected our medical institutions, including major medical associations and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Dr. Hillary Cass, a former president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and one of the U.K.’s most highly respected pediatricians, was appointed by the National Health Service in England to head an independent review. The final review came out last week, and it pretty much torches the so-called “gender-affirming” approach that the United States has taken. To quote the review: “The evidence [for puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and surgery] is weak and clinicians have told us they are unable to determine with any certainty which children and young people will go on to have [gender dysphoria].” –The Cass Review Want to know their key finding? Of the more than 100 studies examining the role of puberty blockers and hormone treatment for gender transition only 2 were of passable quality. Our peer countries are yelling at the United States to stop mutilating children. And I asked the Secretary a very basic question: whether he would listen. His answer: we rely on medical associations and the best evidence available. He’s a mouthpiece for the Radical Left. Gender ideology belongs in the ash heap of history, and that’s exactly why I will continue to push my legislation to defund children’s hospitals that push this pseudoscience.
