Team,

FIRST: The Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

THEN: Former President Donald Trump spread his "Big Lie" that the 2020 election was stolen.

NOW: Another crucial election is right around the corner, and voting rights have been under relentless attack.

For far too long, Republican-controlled state legislatures across the country have been passing record numbers of voting restrictions. That's why Chris helped re-introduce the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act in the House last year to stop discriminatory voting policies and practices.

But in 2024 the fight to get this critical legislation signed into law continues. Let's make one thing clear, team: Voter suppression is a threat to our democracy, and safeguarding our democracy means defending voting rights.

That's why we're asking: Will you add your name to the petition and sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act NOW? >> [link removed]

Chris has always believed that our democratic processes and the power of our vote are what keep our nation strong.

He's working to defend our democracy from extremists in the House and ensure our government works for the people. Now we need Congress to act. Add your name to sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to help safeguard our voting rights. >> [link removed]

Thank you,

Team Pappas
