Soft plastic lures are popular fishing tackle; and just like all other equipment, *it?s your responsibility to properly maintain and dispose of them*. Over the years, plastic lures have been improperly used and disposed of, consequently ending up on lake bottoms or in fish stomachs. Fish can ingest these lures off the bottom, and that can negatively impact their health.

To prevent your soft plastic lure from ending up in the water unintentionally, secure your lure + inspect it frequently. There are several inexpensive products available that will keep your lure where it belongs; try using an O-Ring (pictured above), hook with a twist lock or bait holding device, bait stop, super glue, or even a zip tie!

O-rings were not only developed to secure lures, but to improve the performance of the presentation - helping you catch more fish! By keeping your lure secure, you'll spend less time rebaiting and more time catching.?
