It’s been a busy month here at Team Walsh and we wanted to share a few of the highlights. But first, all of us here wanted to make sure you saw our Canvassing Kickoff Event invite. To start the month, John attended a wonderful event held by Bernard Bickerstaff, Bernie Bickerstaff, Bickerstaff, Inc. and Kids in the City to support their youth basketball program here in Denver and the extraordinary opportunities they offer young Denverites.
John also attended the Colorado Black Round Table’s celebration of Women’s History Month and the incredible work Black women have done — and are doing — in our community.
John kicked off the Walsh Community Tour with events in Lowry, Congress Park, and the DU area while also attending the Denver Health Gala. It’s been amazing to see the energy from our supporters, endorsers, and gracious hosts throughout the community.
John has also gained the support of the Denver Area Labor Federation and the American Postal Workers Union Denver Local 229. The APWU Local 229 represents close to 1,600 union workers in the Denver Metro Area and we couldn’t be more honored to have their support!
We are keeping up the momentum by trekking across the city on our neighborhood tour. John has been to the Interfaith Labor Seder in Hilltop, the Denver NAREB Homeownership Summit in Park Hill, the Escuela de Guadalupe One Child at a Time breakfast on the Westside, and wrapped up with the Just Because event in RINO.
It’s been incredible to see the energy on the campaign trail. Since day one, this campaign has been about your safety and improving our community’s criminal justice system so it works for everyone.
