Friend, when the gunmen at Columbine leveled their rifles, nearby students weren’t too concerned — they thought their classmates had brought paintball guns as a joke. When the “popping noises” started, it didn’t occur to them that what they were hearing was the sound of gunfire.
In less than 20 minutes, though, that innocence was brutally taken away from the students of Columbine and students all across America, changing our country forever.
Today, every student in America, from first grade to high school, has feared, practiced for, and anticipated the moment their school becomes the next Columbine. Since 1999, more than 370,000 students have experienced gun violence at school.

These children are part of a generation that the NRA and their pocket politicians have created through their spineless inaction — a Lockdown Generation.

We have the power to change that, friend, but we need to raise our voices and force Washington to take action. So please, will you respond before midnight tonight?

Should Congress Take Action To Stop School Shootings?

At least 203 children and faculty have died in school shootings during the 25 years since Columbine. Gun violence has become the number one killer of children and teens in the United States. But instead of taking the actions that we KNOW will save hundreds of lives, the NRA's pocket politicians have chosen to do nothing.
Nothing after Sandy Hook, nothing after Parkland, nothing after Uvalde, and after every school shooting since Columbine — nothing.
There's no doubt about it: Our leaders are failing our children and teens. But ending the gun lobby’s stranglehold on Congress is going to take all of us coming together and demanding action.
That's why, before the 25th memorial of the Columbine shooting, we're calling on 25,000 gun violence advocates from all across this country to make their voices heard for change. Please, will you respond to our live survey before the midnight deadline?
