As Mother's Day draws near, we reflect on the incredible strength and resilience of mothers everywhere.

We met Laura* during one of our outreach outings. Laura was a hardworking mother who was facing challenges accessing the support she needed.

She had been told that she wasn't eligible for WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) benefits due to her income level. However, upon closer examination of her household situation, we discovered that one of her children was indeed eligible for assistance.

With our help, Laura did apply for WIC benefits. Those benefits allowed her to buy apples, milk, and cereal for her child.
