John, let me be straight with you: the right to abortion is on the line in 2024, so I want you to know where I stand.
I'll always be an unapologetic vote to protect abortion rights and reproductive healthcare, and I’ll stand strong against right-wing extremism.
In Pennsylvania, Republicans have long tried to ban abortion, going so far as to push an amendment to our constitution to strip away abortion rights. That’s crazy – 90% of Pennsylvanians want us to keep fighting to protect reproductive freedom.
But Donald Trump and far-right Republicans want to enact an extremist ban nationwide that would take away that right.
They will pass a ban that would even force rape and incest victims to give birth. A ban that would make it harder for women to get lifesaving healthcare.
We’ve already seen these extreme abortion bans in other states, and we’ve seen their devastating consequences. I refuse to sit by and watch that happen here.

The extremists who want to ban abortion and to control women need a serious reality check. Protecting the right to safe and legal abortion is about healthcare, it’s about freedom, and it’s about keeping politicians out of the bedroom and the doctor’s office.
Every person deserves the right to make decisions about their own body, free from interference or coercion.
But when the Supreme Court overturned Roe, Republican politicians were thrilled to see you lose your freedom. They can’t wait to ban abortion nationwide, to keep up the attacks on IVF.
This kind of extremism is a danger to our rights, and folks in PA-17 want no part of it.
Every woman in this country has a fundamental right to make their own decisions about pregnancy and healthcare, and we must fight like hell to protect it.
