TAMMY BALDWIN FOR SENATE

There was no shortage of breaking news in Wisconsin’s Senate race this week, so let me catch you up:

This week, Tammy’s Republican opponent reported cutting his campaign a record-breaking $8 million check. To put it in perspective, that’s the most a self-funding candidate in Wisconsin has ever given their campaign in just one quarter.

Just days later, Marquette University Law School, Wisconsin’s most trusted political pollster, found that our race is a dead 50-50 tie among likely voters.

Hovde’s campaign is spending almost $1.5 million per week, outspending our campaign with ease. His ad blitz is clearly moving the needle among voters.

If this record-breaking pace continues, he will vastly outspend our campaign, continue to build his momentum, and could flip Tammy’s seat red in November.

That’s a lot of bad news, but here’s why I’m optimistic: The polls also show that with our own advertising, we can boost Tammy’s favorability while pushing Hovde’s downward amongst Wisconsin voters.

The next six months will be a battle for who can win the few swing voters left and turn out their base — and it’ll take a lot of resources to compete. We know our self-funding opponent will have the cash, but Tammy is counting on your support to help our grassroots-powered campaign fight back.

Will you chip in to help Tammy defend Wisconsin’s Senate seat and our Democratic Senate majority? This race is a dead tie, so anything you can give will help us come out on top.
